In this talk, I will present my PhD research, whose main aim is to explore in depth the field of Learning Design. It proposes a new framework for the design of Learning Design tools in technology-rich contexts and explains its features. The presentation will review the field of Learning Design and the available tools, and define my research questions. I will explain how iterative phases of Design-based Research are being used in my PhD research to achieve the research objectives.

Biog

Dilek Celik is a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Birkbeck. Her work is in the area of Design for Learning in technology-rich contexts. In 2010 she received a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Educational Technologies Teaching from Ege University, Turkey. In 2014 she was awarded a Master's degree in Instructional Technologies from San Francisco State University, USA. She has held a prestigious scholarship from the Republic of Turkey to pursue MA and PhD studies abroad. Her passion for creating new educational technology tools for digital natives is driving her research into the development of digital tools in technology-rich contexts.
